The Book of Guidance Kitab al-Irshad

This is a foundational Shi‘i work detailing the lives of the Twelve Imams. It presents their virtues, miracles, knowledge, political circumstances, and struggles against injustice, while affirming the doctrine of Imamate as divinely designated leadership. Combining historical narration with theological argument, the book defends the legitimacy of each Imam and clarifies key events such as succession disputes and martyrdoms. It remains a central classical source for understanding Shi‘i belief, early Islamic history, and the spiritual authority of the Ahl al-Bayt.
